The Finns don't F-around with their defense. It's army and air force are small, but deadly, as proven when they kicked some Soviet ass during the Winter War of 1939, and held them at bay during the subsequent War of Continuation. Stalin thought his army would be in Helsinki in two weeks, but he underestimated the opposition.
In this video, a Finnish (American built) F/A-18 Hornet takes off from a narrow roadway with obstacles on the left, right, and in front of the jet. It then makes a downwind approach for a downhill-sloped landing, but does not touch down. Some good-stick flying there......
Like the Swedes, the Finns plan on basing their limited fighter assets spread out along highways during a conflict so they cannot be bombed-out with just a few strikes. The South Koreans also have a few highways that are built as genuine runways along certain portions (I have seen some of those).
