FLORIDA -- Two hundred and seven non-citizens are facing criminal charges after being found registered to vote in Florida. The names were discovered this week after the Florida Division of Elections relaunched its voter purge efforts.
It's a felony to illegally register to vote. State election spokesman Chris Cate says once the names are removed from the state's voting rolls they'll be handed over to investigators.
"We are going to be turning those names over to the Supervisors of Elections and once they've been contacted the information will be provided to state attorneys were they can do the investigation," Cate said.
