Nope.....mental health statistics are pretty consistent over the western developed nations....the rates of mental illness does not change much among those nations.....the deaths by guns does vary. It is the lack of safe regulations of firearms wherein the problem lies. Simple non intrusive safeguards will save lives.....not bending over for the gun lobbyist and their bought prostitutes in congress.....Americans have had enough. NOBODY argues that we can ever stop a specific murder.....only that we can lower gun deaths.....there is no logical or intelligent argument for better safeguards. Nobody is going to take anybody's gun, and I am not naive enough to realize that some people will try to do just that, but most Americans just want commons sense use of technology to bring safety and regulation where Americans are dying by guns.

No you are wrong again but what the heck ?..let's give everyone Ritalin and psychotropic drugs from the time they are born till their brains are  screwed into delirious mush and they can't wait to die after killing everyone they can...Like Columbine and so many many others...

There are cultural things which do influence gun violence. I grew up watching milk toast tv.....today kids see brutality and gun use as common as Leave it to Beaver would say gee Wally.

I want to have my guns and I want better controls and regulations which can lower gun deaths in America. Certainly mentally ill folks should not have access to guns.

So I want, I want says the seaoat...do something he says....make safer guns and safer bullets ..meanwhile big Pharma cranks out scads of crazy people....yeah make the guns safer...LOL.

Yep, you could show me a crazy redneck kid drag racing in 1960 and make the same argument about mandated safety features in Autos.....not a bit of difference. People argued folks were going to drown in seat belts.....that people were going to die from air bag impact......that these safety things would not do a thing to lower vehicle deaths......the facts tell the truth. Gun safety can lower the overall numbers. It is simple. Not everyone should be able to shoot a gun. A biometric trigger lock which syncs with a foid card is a powerful use of technology and common sense. Pace.....well folks will figure out how to get around safety with guns.....PK.....government is bad.......T only crazy people are the problem. People are alive today after vehicle accidents because the logic of Pace, PK, and T are not correct in the overall stats. No gun safety measure will insure any individual will be safer. That is a false argument. They only can lower the overall killings by gun in America.

I think a logical argument can be made that the benefits of lowering the overall deaths by firearm in America is worth a small burden on gun owners, and manufacturers. I do not want my grandchildren exposed to the current stats. I want them lowered. I will vote for those who work for gun safety. I will donate to those who work for gun safety. I will work to take down any person who is bought and paid for by NRA.

There's no "minor burdon" govt control that will stop a criminal or crazy. It'd take less than an hour in my workshop.

Guns are kind of simple to make. When I was just a kid I could make very effective guns out of pipe, match heads, steel bearings a nail Greenie stickem caps, tissue and rubber bands.

I had a pump up pellet gun that might've killed with a steel projectile.
