Second Quarter GDP: +2.3%

Our growth has been steady and strong after the recession which was not a simple correction but a collapse which was only matched by the great depression which took over a decade to pull us out of the ditch.  You need population for rapid economic growth and the bubble is retiring and is not going to drive the rapid economic growth of earlier years when they were raising families buying consumer goods and homes.  A path to citizenship and bringing into the economy 15 million would fire this economy up, and the largest reason the Republicans have fought the same has nothing to do with philosophy, rather hoping to tank the American economy for a chance in 2016......it will not work, and immigration reform will be passed within the next three years.
