Hillary is going to flatten the GOP like a steam-roller in 2016.

So you're big on this hillary person because the "american public" is big on her too?
Isn't that the same "american public" who put that bush retard in office TWICE? lol

Well War Hero, like all the candidates running for the throne, Hillary is a politician.  Trust has never in American History been a key deciding element in our electoral system.  We're pragmatists -- what we want is a strong, cunningly clever and successful leader who will use their skills for our benefit.  Honesty and trust has never had a fucking thing to do with electing a president in the United States.

Nobody cared whether Lyndon Johnson or Kennedy or Nixon or Reagan were liars, as long as they were OUR liars!

The question isn't whether Hillary can be trusted.  It's whether Hillary is or is not dedicated to bettering the lives of most Americans.

If trust and intelligence were the major qualifiers, Bernie Sanders would win overwhelmingly.

If I recall correctly, Senator Hillary Clinton was ahead of Senator Barack Hussein Obama this far ahead of the 2008 election as well.

She'll probably get the nomination because she has no competition and it's too late for anybody else to enter the race.
And no Bernie Sanders is not competition.

So it all comes down to the general election. And to guess the outcome we need to know which republican will be her opponent.
If the republicans had a standout they could beat her. Mostly because I believe we're still on that republican wave that decided the midterms.
But the republicans don't have a standout.
So right now it's a toss up.

Using this line of thought, if she loses it will be to Bernie Sanders, not any of the monkeys from the conservative side.

No if she loses she'll lose to the republican.
Does anyone really believe someone who labels himself "socialist" can win the Presidency in 2016? Come on now wordslinger, no matter how much you like the guy, surely you know that's not going to be the REALITY you so like to go by. lol

You're a great foil, keep up the good work!

Bernie Sanders most certainly could win both elections. It is not very probable in light of the money differential, but McGovern was NEVER supposed to win....but he did.....and then got clobbered by somebody who feared the democrats enough to get booted from the White House.....so pleasssssseeee do not tell us what is impossible.

Good story, Gramps!

Ask Chief Justice Roberts what's changed since then.

Gramps is right.....it comes with age and experience.....its called wisdom....when you can determine when a candidate or the favored team is a lock......Just ask Gramps if you are confused.....he is the one who a week before the Supreme Court's decision on the constitutionality of ACA knew that Judge Roberts would be the swing vote on the issue of taxes.....don't really need to ask him anything.....I hear KY is beautiful in the spring.

Well I guess you're right, seaoat. After the voters put the republicans in control of congress, if the same voters would then vote a socialist for president, that would probably be about par for the course for these schizophrenic voters in this schizophrenic country.
Talk about gridlock. You aint never seen gridlock till we have a right-wing congress and a socialist president. lol

Actually, as I think about it further, a right-wing congress and a socialist president might be the best outcome BECAUSE of the gridlock it would produce.
When the two branches of government are in a complete stalemate, this government can't do anything to fuck us all up.
I may need to get behind Sanders for this one. lol

This debate is getting more interesting every moment; take note that only Hillary and Bernie are being talked about. Not one single republican candidate's name has occurred thus far in the thread.

Not Rand Paul.
Not Ted Cruz.
Not Marco Rubio.
Not Mike Huckabee.
Not Chris Christy.
Not Jeb Bush.
Not Carli Fiorina.
Not Ben Carlsen.
And not any other of the 9234 republican candidates running for President.

Reality!

Probably, the talk you see about your bud Bernie Sanders is on "The Nation" and your other Socialist/Communist sites.

As for the Clinton's. They're being talked about because of their corrupt foundation and coming testimony. Remember what caught Bill?

Too bad your ability to read and comprehend has regressed so far. I made it clear that I was referring to this forum and this thread. And given the choice between a fascist system that celebrates the right of corporations to control the state --- your favorite -- and one that centers on the rights and equality of the common man, I'll take socialism any day. Bernie Sanders is indeed my man.
