Of course,  Billo's numbers have gone up since he was exposed as a serial liar.

His viewers just want their fear and hatred and intolerance to be validated.

They care not at all about the truth.

He gives em what they want.

Even regressives such as yourself have to admit that he was wrong about several of the things he claims to have done. That's not playing games it is telling the truth. He can not in good faith deny what has been shown re his stories. No one but Bill has been proven wrong. Why don't you just admit it and let it go at that?

Forgeries? You're right...they were forgeries...intentionally placed in his hands by the opposition...that was Dan Rather, sir, and you're not fit to hold his coattails.

I have nothing positive to say about Williams, but you're absolutely right regarding Dan Rather.

His journalistic integrity and bona fides are unassailable.

He was set up.

And regardless, his reporting was dead cinch correct.

Shame on CBS for bowing to the right wing pressure.

Putting his name in the same sentence as Billo the Clown's is the height of absurdity.

I don't know how you can say with a straight face that O'Reilly wasn't lying about being in Florida knocking on that man's door when he heard the shot that killed him. Listen to Bill in his own voice, his own words talking from Texas to the investigator in Florida where the incident took place.

In view of all this unvarnished evidence you still defend him? What do you make of this audio recording?

An audio recording released Sunday calls into question Bill O’Reilly’s JFK story in which he claims to have heard the shot that killed a man allegedly connected to Lee Harvey Oswald. The recorded phone call indicates The Factor host was not even in the same state the day of the suicide.

In his 2012 book, Killing Kennedy, O’Reilly claimed to have been standing at the door of George de Mohrenschildt in South Florida and heard the shotgun blast that killed the man who allegedly had ties to the JFK assassination. In a taped phone conversation released yesterday by CNN, however, Bill O’Reilly can be heard questioning Gaeton Fonzi, a congressional investigator at the time, about the details of George de Mohrenschildt’s death. Fonzi was interviewing de Mohrenschildt before his death, as the Russian immigrant allegedly had ties to Lee Harvey Oswald.

The questions O’Reilly asks the investigator seem to indicate The Factor host was not even in Florida at the time of de Mohrenschildt’s death. He asks Fonzi where the suicide took place, what time, if a gun was used, and saying, “I’m coming down there tomorrow. I’m coming to Florida… I’m going to get in there tomorrow.”

It is rather amusing, that although it has been shown that O'Reilly lied, they accuse the "liberal media" of a witch hunt (the one that suspended Brian Williams) and they celebrate increased viewership as a good thing instead of as an embarrassment.

What’s even worse is that Fox is playing the game by boasting about its ratings, rather than acting as any kind of standard bearer for truth or integrity:


BURNS: Well, they’re not addressing the controversy. …If you’re charged with lying and you say “Our ratings are up,” you’re not answering the question of whether or not you told a lie. I think it’s astonishing that that’s the way they operate. There’s not one word in there about, “Well, I did see nuns in the shot; I did see that CIA fellow commit suicide.” That’s not part of the defense. It’s all ratings.

Sadly, there’s no sign of change on the horizon.
