Do you remember a while back when the consensus opinion in one thread was that you cannot trust a pit bull around children?

Well ladies and gentleman of the jury, I now present the rebuttal to that claim and I promise you it will give you a lump in your throat.

Depends on how they are bred and raised.

Oh Bob found one dog that didn't tear someone's juglar out so that makes them ok. LOL!

Those dogs were under the control of adults not the little girl.

One of those damned killer dogs stepped on the little girls foot after she fed them and the mom was more intent on proving her dogs wouldn't eat her daughter than she cared to look at the little girls foot.  I have a house in a poor neighborhood and when I drive through it I see dozens of pitbulls. Just a matter of time till one of the many kids there gets mauled.

I had a dog pit mix--it killed my lil dog Ive had for 10 years-had to give the dog to a friend I was so upset , This just happened a week ago---the family in East Milton American farms on the news--I have a friend on fb--she got attacked by her own dog pitt---she said he was really sweet --the dog first went to try to help her going after another person then she said its like he snapped she put pics up---omg bad real bad her arm is a mess --she said the pitt turned against her then her mother they are in hospital what a mess and they owned the dog-- Mad she said it was a red nose pitt that did that--im not going to get another dog ever for years my lil dogs I want them to live im not putting them in danger again---the pup I had wasn't mean but teeth very sharp she cornered my chico and her tooth went through my chico and killed him im still upset Sad

Yeah, there was an eighteen-month-old little boy torn apart by pit bulls just north of here about a week ago.

They were the grandfather's dogs, and they had killed several smaller dogs in the past, but had never been taken away.

The grandfather saw it happen but couldn't do anything to stop it.

The breed is an attack waiting to happen.

after what I went through , I just think its in there bloodline or something -mine was nice but kept picking on my kitty , I would scream and the dog wouldn't listen --then my chico ran out and she got her in the neck and chest and killed her---we were nice to that dog , never mean to the dog --the dog just picked on the other dogs anything smaller she would go after -should have given her away when she cornered my cat---lesson learned my lil dog died

I have a Doberman I've had since she was 9 months old. Very sweet and loving dog but I would never leave her alone w/ my grandchild even for a few minutes because I really don't know what dogs think and I would never put my grandchild at risk for any reason. Some people swear by pittbulls but I would never be comfortable around one.
