I'm home all day, but I live in Lillian and don't usually have a car at my disposal. But if there is any administrative help I could give, I be happy to. Also, I can take my hubs to work and keep the about once a week; and I'm pretty handy with a camera if that's needed.

We can have a team that is responsible for interacting with weather stations or TVs and getting that new out, too. I have a fairly decent weather program here at home that I can use that updates really fast. The only problem will be using it durring a hurricane, aince my program requires eiectricity

I've found my program to be even better than the one they use on the local weather stations.

Bob, I tried to post a comment over at NE.com bout a few months ago. NE was praising a local lady that recently got appointed as a judge. I knew something re her shady past & why she wasnt qualified/trustworthy to be appointed a judge. They rejected my comment TWICE. My comment was toned down, factual, not rude or nasty and they refused to post it.

NE is on my ban list of websites I do not visit or support. No way in hell is NE going to start a forum or tolerate the stuff we'd post at the pnj forum.

Regardless of what we're talking about in this thread, I will never want to be a party to anything which does not give equal weight or equal voice to any opinion, especially opinion different from my own.
It was disk jockeys turned talk radio opinionators (chiefly Luke McCoy but there were many others) who gave me that attitude for rest of my life. It was also preachers talking down from pulpits, book writers talking down to readers, television hosts talking down to viewers, and last but not least, newspaper editorialists talking down to readers.
There is nothing worse to me than any individual in any media who is put in any position of authority and thinks his opinion has more value than others' opinions because of that.
That is what I love most about an open internet message board. And by "open" I mean one in which the opinion of any host or moderator or hall monitor or any other censor or filter is given no more weight than the opinion of anyone else.
The ideal media format for opinion is for each and every person who wishes to participate to be on an equal playing field. If someone's ideas cannot compete with others' ideas, then that person should have to live with that like it or not. Period.

At this point I want to make a request of twoism (our administrator here). Two, I've never been more flattered as when I saw you had put up a forum called "Ask NaughtBob". I love you for it and I'm grateful for it and I understand your intent.
But a forum devoted to "asking NaughtBob" is just not me. So I humbly request that you remove it. Keep it for Luke McCoy if he shows up cause I'm sure he'll expect it.

Shit, you were so manic about doing a local news thing, but you never posted anything. Did you finally take your Lithium and figure it was too much like work? I broke the ice with a prisoner release statement from Sheriff Morgan.

I was a Rotarian (even a Board Member) once. I ran this club's biggest public outreach project and when I needed help, I put out an urgent cry for help and got zilch... nada. I did a ton of work by myself, finished the project and quit those lazy bums... never came to another meeting. Screw 'em.

I think you may be right, TittyMan. Except for that one time when I was a kid fresh out of draft dodger college.
I had this brilliant idea to go door to door and offer to take an electric engraving pen and put people's driver's license numbers on their possessions (tv's, etc) for a fee so that if their property was stolen the cops could identify it.
I called it Operation Identification.
After pounding the pavement for a several days and still no customers, finally it occurred to me that folks didn't want someone coming into their homes to case the joint.
So the idea in this thread is only the 2nd dumbest idea I ever had.

I still think it's a good idea, Bob. We have members from all over the two-county area, so we probably could have scooped our local newspaper on lots of stories.

It would have been fun. It may still be.
