Criminals not children

Rather, the president said, his decision to defer deportations of 4 million immigrants is aimed at “actual threats to our security,” by allowing border control agents to focus on the highest-priority incursions, such as those by felons, gang members and recent border-crossers.

“Felons, not families,” Obama said of who would be in line for deportations. “Criminals, not children. Gang members, not a mom who’s working hard to provide for her kids.”

“By ignoring the will of the American people, President Obama has cemented his legacy of lawlessness and squandered what little credibility he had left,” House Speaker John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) said after Obama’s address.

Sorry John, all you had to do is release the senate bill into the house and your argument would have some merit as to the will of the people, but the President won twice with clear policy goals of immigration reform and the American public overwhelmingly supported the President and his policies. What a cowardly worm. Let the people speak.......release the senate bill to the people's representatives......what are you afraid of......that your lies will be confirmed?

How insane is it to believe we can deport 11 million people? What would the enormous cost of that be? Maybe we can put them all in the state of Ca. and get a bulldozer and push them over the border?

The reality is there is no way mass deportations were going to take place anyway. Impossible!

Obama is merely slapping Congress for not doing their job. Good!

Boehner is the idiot in this mess by blocking an acceptable Senate bill.

The border is the issue... I simply do not believe it can't be secured in this day and age.

What a historic night. Simple and to the point. The joy to watch John stumble around with empty threats and talk about the poisoned well. The President has the cowardly lions meowing in sync. Ted Cruz is a hoot. Butchmeup and Cruz should get more TV time. What a bunch of freaks and clowns masquerading like they give a rat's tail about the American middle class or justice. They are bought and paid for by the Oligarchy and special interests......and the best part of the courage of the President.....he has all of network tv piszed at him about net neutrality as those rich franchises of FCC licenses are melting away into a buggy whip factory as tv is going to be delivered by broadband internet and competition and cost paradigms render the once rich networks into future American newspapers. They did not even bother to carry the speech on any network.......President Obama you have my utmost respect.....kicking asz and taking names.
