The Old confederacy which Abe Lincoln's Republican Party freed the slaves from the Southern Democrats evolved into the Dixiecrats after WWII when integration was beginning in the Military and eventually the southern strategy by the Republican Party under the dog whistle of State;s rights saw the transformation of the old confederacy to the Republican Party. Abe, Teddy, and Ike turned over in their graves, but the evil left the Democratic Party and migrated to the Republican Party. There were no surprises in this midterm. Most of the seats of incumbent Democrats were in the old confederacy in this cycle, while 2016 it will be incumbent Republicans in Democratic or swing states. The dog whistles fool no one. The racism and hate is the glue which holds together the old confederacy. Now Hispanics are the new N and Jim Crow type laws which call deporting 12 million new Americans is the new glue......nothing new......nothing earth shattering......same old.....same old.
