Finally child abuse is being taken seriously........Do you have any idea how this child suffered for 2 weeks? The original story quoted the mother as saying they did not tske him to a hospital because they couldn't come up with a good story about how the 2 year old got burned. Mom and Dad have had previous child abuse charges.....but the still had the kids.

The State Attorney's Office is planning to seek the death penalty against a Pensacola couple in the death of their toddler.

Christopher Redd and Jennifer Perry are charged with first degree felony murder.
Their son, two year old Bryson Redd, died after going into cardiac arrest in July.

Doctors say he had second and third degree burns covering more than 35 percent of his body.

The burns had been there for two weeks.
The boy's mother says he spilled boiling water on himself.
Doctors say if he had been brought in sooner, they could have taken him to a burn unit.

Some people should not be parents. What an awful way to die. Stupid cannot be fixed.

It is negligent homicide. Not murder.

Then perhaps the state should make the punishment fit the crime and be just as negligent with the care of these people as they were with the care of the child.

Wouldn't that depend on how he got burned?

Well yes but I can't even imagine that's how they would try and murder him? Jesus, I hope that's not the case?
