Germans Ranks #1 in World Energy Efficiency So...More Germans Getting Their Power Cut Off Because They Can’t Afford Paying Sky-High Green Electric Bills

Yes, Germany has great energy efficiency programs.  To bad their citizens have to live without it because they can't afford the bills.  High energy consumption industries leaving the country.  WHAT A PLAN!

More Germans Getting Their Power Cut Off Because They Can’t Afford Paying Sky-High Green Electric Bills

By P Gosselin on 19. April 2014

Just a few days ago, the IPCC WG III report claimed that CO2 emissions could be curbed with little pain involved. Well, go tell it to the more than 300,000 Germans who have had their power shut off in a single year because they no longer can afford skyrocketing electric bills. And these people live in a rich country!

And imagine what expensive power means for poor, developing countries. In such countries it’s nothing short of widespread catastrophe and grinding misery.

Just mind numbing stupidity. The total subsidy for solar in Germany comes to five billion dollars a year and I posted a thread a week ago showing the plummeting electric prices in Germany because of solar and wind. You take 300k people who have their service cut off for non payment, and extrapolate this into a theory that the cause of the same is solar energy. First, what is the average number of electric shut offs in Germany over the last 10 years per year? Does the 300k represent an increase, or decrease, and what is the cause? Electric prices are dropping because of the wise policies the Germans have followed, yet you post this completely illogical propaganda which hopes to have somebody associate solar with its measly five billion subsidy with people getting their service turned off......try harder......

Show us a RELIABLE source for your comment that the TOTAL SUBSIDY for solar power comes to five billions dollars a year.

I knew you couldn't do it! And here's more. Semi-retired President Barack Hussein Obama is heck bent on following the European lead down the toilet. Why?

What a plan by our energy nuts! Working so well in their beloved Germany!

GERMANY: Renewable Energy Policy “Complete Failure”… Bring On The Dirty Coal Monsters

Filed in Energy, News by SRSrocco on April 28, 2014

In a stunning admission, the German Government recently announced that its transition to Renewable Energy was, “On the Verge of Failure.” This blunt statement was released by Germany’s Economic Minister and Vice Chancellor to Angela Merkel, Sigmar Gabriel at an event at SMA Solar… Germany’s leading manufacturer of Solar technology.

According to the article, Angela Merkel’s Vice Chancellor Stuns, Declares Germany’s ‘Energiewende’ To Be On The Verge Of Failure:

“The truth is that in all fields we under-estimated the complexity of the Energiewende.”

Gabriel is not only the national economics minister and vice chancellor to Angela Merkel, he is also head of Germany’s socialist SPD party, which is now the coalition partner in Angela Merkel’s CDU/SPD grand coalition government. Moreover Gabriel was once the country’s environment minister and a devout believer in global warming and in Al Gore’s Inconvenient Truth.

“Those who are the engines of the transformation to renewable energies, that’s you, you don’t see how close we are to the failure of the energy transformation.”

You're lying through your teeth again, Markle. Do you leave a slime trail?

"...CONCLUSION
Germany’s Energiewende is a bold, challenging, and complex experiment. Its inevitable imperfections need, and get, recognition and correction. On the whole, it has been highly successful so far and is on track for its seemingly ambitious goals—renewable electricity rising to 35 percent of consumption by 2020 and 80 percent by 2050, primary consumption falling respectively to 20 and 50 percent below 2008 levels, and CO2 emissions falling to 30 and 80 percent below 1990 levels. In fact, Germany could even surprise the world by going even further and faster. Success is not guaranteed, but impressive achievements so far suggest it would be unwise to bet against German skill and determination. Getting the facts right is the safest way to bet wisely..."

(Read the whole entry...3 myths debunked) We don't have to wonder why there's a disinformation campaign against Germany's successes in the realm of energy, or why Markle is again playing fast and loose with the truth.

Hey, ZVUGKTUBM, you have to try this. Google "Germany renewable failure".

Guess what the top hit is?

Hahahahahaha.

Ever heard of Der Spiegel?

from wiki...

Der Spiegel (German pronunciation: [deːɐ ˈʃpiːɡəl], lit. "The Mirror") is a German weekly news magazine published in Hamburg. It is one of Europe's largest publications of its kind, with a weekly circulation of more than one million.[1][2][3]

It was founded in 1947 by John Challenor, a British army officer, and Rudolf Augstein, a former Wehrmacht radio operator who was recognized in 2000 by the International Press Institute as one of the fifty World Press Freedom Heroes.[4] Spiegel Online, the online sibling of Der Spiegel, was launched in 1994 with an independent editorial staff. Typically, the magazine has a content to advertising ratio of 2:1.

Der Spiegel is known in German-speaking countries mostly for its investigative journalism. It has played a key role in uncovering many political scandals such as the Spiegel scandal in 1962 and the Flick affair in the 1980s. According to The Economist, Der Spiegel is one of continental Europe's most influential magazines.[5]

So what does Der Spiegel have to say?

Germany's Energy Poverty: How Electricity Became a Luxury Good

By SPIEGEL Staff

I'm a greenie who wants to live to see the day fossil fuels have become obsolete.  BUT I have to live with the reality which is that day is not now and probably won't be in my lifetime.  It's going to be a slow process and Germany is trying to make it happen too fast.

But having said that I want to add this.  Markel and the right wing politicians and right-wing media and the traditional bidnessmen they represent prefer to keep buying oil from the ragheads forever.  They want those sheiks and such to be filthy rich so they'll keep siphoning a part of the proceeds to the terrorists.   That way Lindsay Graham and his neocon buddies will be able to beat the war drums and rant about starting new wars in the middle east because there's nothing they like better than the smell of napalm in the morning.  Only most of them never get to smell it because they're cowardly chickenhawks who send others to do the dying for them.
I will give markle credit for actually suiting up and volunteering to be one of the pawns who are sent to battle. But markle is the exception and most of the ones who talk war the loudest are the least experienced at it.

It's like watching a fat person with diabetes and heart disease rationalize the continued pigging out at Golden Corral because exercise and dieting would require too much work.

No its a little worse than that.....every restaurant requires a grease trap......Mr. Markle goes there for the all you can eat grease trap buffet.....when we politely suggest.....Mr. Markle we posted the links and stats, and oh by the way.....that grease will clog the arteries which feed your brain.......but he responds as usual......Fox News says that grease traps are healthy.

But now you're both just ignoring the fact that what he told you is true.  The German experiment with solar and wind has not been the utopia we were told it was by huffo, msnbc and the other liberal media. So now the whole discussion just devolves into another liberal/democrat vs conservative/republican wrastlin match like always.

Nope. You just misinterpreted the analogy.

If having the most efficient energy system in the world were easy, everyone would have it.

You and I or anyone else can have a system to provide self-contained alternative energy for all our home's needs right now.
We're not doing that for the same reason I'm not driving a plug-in electric car.
The reason we're not doing either is because it's not yet cost effective.

Politicians, be they democrat or republican or german or any other kind, are not the ones who will make it become cost-effective. So to reduce this discussion to a political fanboy thing is just infantile.

Strange, you didn't post the COST of electricity to these poor people nor how many are now doing without.

Floridatexan

Infantile? Hardly. What's infantile is trying to reduce every discussion to "oh, it's just that useless right vs. left thingy again...so boring...while buying Markle's BS just like it had some validity. This is an extremely complicated subject, not only the engineering aspects, but all the twists and turns of government and private sector implementation...and the obvious pushback by entrenched interests. Read everything at the link I posted. Markle is the one who's trying to reduce this argument to white vs. black. It's not that simple.
