Tears for the Border Children

The fight over how to process and care for masses of children from Central America who have crossed into this country is quickly becoming a spectacle of the obscene.

While the government tries to abide by the law as written and handle the children with as much care as any child would deserve, under any circumstances, the public continues to see images of angry adults intent on confronting buses full of minors.

How can there be tears when racist are running around chasing down buses full of children......this country is slipping into an all time low. A generation is slipping away who bravely fought nazi hate, only to see this babyboom generation to be a cowardly lot who in old age find solace in looking at children as small brown bags of diseased garbage.

What Mexican illegal immigrant do you know?  I know twenty of them at least, and not one is mooching off the system.  They use false social security numbers, and pay taxes and payroll deductions and they never will get any of the same when they retire because they are illegal.......they are hard working people looking for opportunity, yet like the little brown bags of diseased garbage we want to generalize and degrade these are very proud hard working people.  I saw who cleaned up the mess from Ivan and then a year later in Dennis.......so please do not tell me about you supporting these people....that is laughable....you are talking without any first hand experience with illegal immigrants.......oh I know the panhandle has had an invasion of illegal mexicans using hospitals to get treatment.....another invasion of brown skinned people......Pass the senate bill and stop the xenophobic fear and racism.

At least you should be proud that the elected official in Arizona chased down a bus full of YMCA kids going to day care....I know how proud you were of people stopping buses full of little brown bags of diseased garbage......please....do not even pretend you care.....you would not have been so proud of the nurse who stopped the other buses.

Wrong answer. Where has President Obama or anybody else talked about caring for these children until they are 18. That is the racist xenophobic mantra of invasion which has been spewing out of the haters for three weeks. The simple truth is they are getting caught and returned. The real short term answer is to expand legal quotas for countries in distress with the standard requirement of self sufficiency and proof of the same. Many of these children already have producing family members in the states.

I have just asked my nephew's wife what her Houston church is doing to help these kids...about a year ago, she and my nephew went to Guatemala to construct a water well. This isn't their first rodeo. I'm sure there are numerous people willing to help...not everyone in Texas is a Rick Perry...thank God.
