Calls for state Rep. Kerry Gauthier to quit politics grew louder Monday, as party leaders urged the first-term DFLer from Duluth to withdraw his bid for re-election following reports he had oral sex with a 17-year-old boy at a Duluth-area rest stop in July.

Thought the news had reported that this scum will step down...No matter whether it's an (R)...(D)...or (I)...a criminal is a criminal and there are no excuses or spin to attempt to cover this behavior...

It shouldn't make a difference but there is a bias on the part of the media that is based on party affiliation...When a similar allegation was made against the republican congressman there was wall to wall coverage and yet with this most current situation involving a democrat there is much silence or slight coverage...There is such a mentality among the media to promote the democrat agenda that it compromises professional journalism...Simply look at interviews of democrats as compared to republicans...There's nothing incorrect/wrong about a journalist asking tough questions/follow ups but in recent years there has been a bias that even liberals will admit...It's no wonder that yesterday there were allegations that the WH is feeding questions to journalists to ask the COWH...But...politics aside...a criminal charge/allegation should be treated as such no matter the party affiliation...In this instance there is a juvenile involved and this 'individual' needs to be prosecuted to the fullest levels of the law...Would think that after the Penn State tragedy that would have woke some people up...
