I've been seeing this happening all around us. Thank Jehova or Allah or whatever is up there that us boomers were born when we were because we got to live most of our lives before the decline began. I pity the younger generations of Americans though.

Notice the big news in the political wrastlin arena right now is Jeb Bush vs Tom Cruz (or whatever his name is) arguing about illegal immigration from mexico.
What all that bullshit is completely ignoring is that illegal immigration from mexico has virtually come to a standstill. Why? Because this aint where they wanna go to anymore.

The relationship of the baby boomers to America's decline is not entirely coincidental.

You mean their children who grew up demonstrating along with drugs, sex, rock and roll.

America is hardly in decline. It is just the whining of baby boomers getting old. Our future is bright. We are a wealthy nation with so many comparative advantages in this world that only a baby boomer who is no longer getting loaded and having sex a couple times a night thinks that the world revolves around them. It does not. Our energy, agricultural, and industrial sectors are booming. Record corporate profits make plenty of room for adjustments in the minimum wage, and as consumer demand increase real gdp growth over the next decade will have the youngsters moving into the jobs the babyboomers are leaving. America is blessed.

Reality.

I just sent this to an ultra conservative Bible pounding Christian but who is a good friend for nearly fifty years. He will probably delete it as soon as the word 'Corporation' appears.

I think Jeb is the only possible opponent of Hillary who could challenge her.

It's not baby boomism or democratism or republicanism or socialiam or rock and roll which created this decline.
It's just natural societal evolution. The aftermath of World War 2 gave this country a booming economy which faced little competition from the rest of the world. As happens with all monopolies over time, the country got fat and lazy and forget how to compete. It's educational system began to struggle and suffer and so did it's other institutions. And at the very same time that was happening, a large part of the emerging world started learning how to compete with us. And now other parts of the world are advancing while we're declining.

Proving you do still have a sense of humor!

How does an increase in the minimum wage help anything? Everything simply raises by the same amount and we are right back where we started but AGAIN, the Progressives FEEL GOOD!

I'd like you to clearly explain exactly what you mean by this.

You're a hoot Wordslinger!

A Socialist/Communist publication saying that Republicans are not moving us fast enough toward...ta da...Socialism.

You just can't make these things up!

The writer is from Harvard.  Here's an extract from one of his statements:

So, what of the U.S? In terms of happiness, we rank 17th, trailing neighboring Mexico.

We find ourselves languishing for the very fact we have allowed corporate America to hijack the entire Republican Party, and some parts of the Democratic Party. This influence has bought corporations and the rich a rigged tax code that has redistributed wealth from the middle class to the rich over the course of the past three decades. This lack of shared prosperity and opportunity has retarded our social progress.

America’s rapid descent into impoverished nation status is the inevitable result of unchecked corporate capitalism. By every measure, we look like a broken banana republic. Not a single U.S. city is included in the world’s top 10 most livable cities. Only one U.S. airport makes the list of the top 100 in the world. Our roads, schools and bridges are falling apart, and our trains — none of them high-speed — are running off their tracks.

Not a single falsehood in that statement!  Your problem is facts, Herr Markle.  When they disagree with your corrupt perspective, you pretend to disdain them because of where they were written.  Like I said, one thing for which you have an inexhaustible supply is stupidity
