"...Total energy imports declined 9% from 2012 to 2013... ...Crude oil production grew 15%, about the same pace as in 2012..."

Yep. The COWH has been very friendly to the energy industry. U.S. oil production, mostly from tight-shale (unconventional) hydrocarbon formations, has grown every year during Obama's presidency, and will continue to grow before leveling off somewhere around 2020.

This means fewer imports from politically unstable regions of the world, and more security for our country.

This is the most important factor in this country's survival and remaining a super power. It is essential to lower our consumption of energy, increase our renewable energy sources, and drill baby drill. If we can get our fleet trucks on NG, increase wind and solar ten fold, put energy efficient appliances and lighting in our homes, and drive 50mpg vehicles.......Old Putin will be riding a horse not by choice as we sell europe our NG and he pounds on sand as energy conservation and renewable sources make his commodity and his market much less controlled by his monopoly. Very good news.
