Interesting Bob . . . . I actually watched some of the CPAC speakers during this convention but this absence of right wingers to hear what seems to be a central required change of strategy to attract more diverse voters obviously was not something they were interested in . . . . thanks for posting.

This has nothing to do with being a republican and wishing republicans will win upcoming elections.  Or being a democrat and wishing democrats will will upcoming elections.
It doesn't matter if it's a democrat party,  republican party, tea party,  whig party, wedding party, pot party or drinking party.  It still has to get votes to win.

And the reality,  regardless if anybody likes it or don't like it,  is the democrat party voter base is reproducing at a significantly higher rate than the older white republican party voter base.  And unless the republican party can begin to appeal to more of those voters,  it will be less likely for it to win elections.
Yes,  it can win congressional races in red states.  But it aint gonna control the whole congress and it aint gonna get in the white house.
So we're gonna have another democrat president and another divided congress.  It will be more of the same thing we have right now.
Another billion dollars is gonna be wasted on a presidential campaign even though we already know what the outcome will be.

The founding fathers never envisioned an empire where the United States runs around crushing countries like Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Grenada, Libya, Serbia, Panama, and likely a few others. You wouldn't have a job as a reservist, as there would be a nominally-sized standing army, and absolutely no Military Industrial Complex whatsoever. The U.S. would not be kowtowing to the whims of Israel, and they certainly would not be getting any money from the U.S. Congress like they are now. Nor would any other country, and probably not the UN either. We would not police the world, and would not have military bases all over the globe.

So, the founding fathers' vision for America definitely is not the vision that conservative right wingnuts have for this country, because you likely would have none of the above. You love the empire too much.

Always has a militia so I would have a job regardless and there was a reserve long before we decided to CRUSH countries as you stated we do. Had we not developed a well trained and experienced reserve none of the last 12 years would have been possible. Just in the AF reserves we account for nearly 25% of the missions completed at only a cost of 10% of the total budget.
