The "right war" and President Barack Hussein Obama turns his back and surrenders. The Taliban celebrate and will take over the country.

President Obama screwed the pooch on the withdrawal negotiations with Iraq. We all know the result of the SNAFU, al Qaeda has captured Falluja and the western part of Iraq just over two after US troops withdrew from the country

WASHINGTON – President Obama has asked the Pentagon to plan for a complete withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan by the end of the year amid a dispute over a security pact, but continues to leave open the possibility that some troops could remain after 2014 -- options he discussed Tuesday with Afghan President Hamid Karzai.

The White House detailed the "contingency planning" in a statement following the phone call between Obama and Karzai.

The two leaders spoke amid an ongoing dispute over a vital security agreement. That agreement would allow the U.S. to keep troops in Afghanistan after 2014, but Karzai is refusing to sign it, saying he wants his successor to sign the pact after elections this spring.

Two simple questions:

1. Did the Taliban attack the world trade center?

2. After killing Bin Laden and getting delayed justice for his murder of 3k Americans, are you suggesting that the occupation of Afghanastan like you argued the occupation of Iraq is in America's best interest?

Even Pk after winning the tennis match picks up his racket and leaves the court and goes home. Are you suggesting after the game is over the act of leaving the court is surrender to your opponent. Simple answer: we won....Bin Laden is dead, and as despicable as the Taliban may be......they did not kill our citizens.

Pray tell Herr Markle, are you advocating we stay and fight al Qaeda, the Taliban, the Pashtuns, the "insurgents" forever? You do recognize that absolutely none of them want us there, right? Just how much are we supposed to spend in blood and money to fight in Afghanistan against an enemy who has no air force, no intercontinental ballistic missiles, or any navy.

Your policy is one of economic and military suicide. No thanks ...

You make some very good points. The facts are, however, whether we stay and waste blood and money in Afghanistan, or pull out this afternoon, the majority of the people of Afghanistan would celebrate our total demise as a nation. They do not countenance invaders and occupiers -- and their history proves it. If we leave, is there a chance some jihadist group in Afghanistan will try and attack New Bedford, or, God forbid, Charlotte NC,
with a shoe bomb, a stolen airplane or a hijacked garbage truck? Probably.

We are not the same careless nation we were before 9-11-01 -- and for proof of that statement, you need look no further than the fact we have had no 9-11 strength acts here since then.

Herr Markle thinks we need to stay in Afghanistan forever, no matter what the cost. But then again, who ever accused him of being rational?

It is going to be a mammoth undertaking to actually responsibly exit this hell hole and if they are able to execute by the end of the year it will be a remarkable accomplishment. So much to do in ten months . . .

Actually, I'm with you on punishing Obama for wasting too much of our blood and money on a losing proposition.
