Not long ago YMCAers flooded City Hall demanding the Section 8(lol) parcel of the CMPA park.  The city was in dire distress and chicken little would fall from the  sky and downtown would be flooded in a wave of Obesity and sadness if the new YMCA was not quickly built.  This was enforced by minions wearing YMCA Shirts and carrying banners.  Saint Studer stepped to the plate and gave them 5 million.
OK. Now they have the cash.  Where is the building?  What are their plans?  It was a red hot issue not long ago.  Now the issue seems to be as cold as the ball park on winter day.

I suspect the whole thing was some kind of clever tax dodge.

The existing YMCA has parking for over a hundred cars and sometimes that is not enough. What in hell would we do for parking at Stooderville? Park in the Duckpond under the water fountains? I heard Studer was in the planning stages of a SkyHook that will take cars to the stratosphere but it hasn't been finalized.
