Yep That is how it works....Google doesn't do pop ups but if you pay enough you can get the exposure you seek.

I know they will pay me to put a window for ads in my web sites. I am going to have to examine that, but I do not get the traffic or daily hits that this site gets.

My daughters company makes software that organizes all the leads you receive from such ads. It then quantifies them in somewhat of a ranking order . With What every parameters you choose. Companies like Kraft Foods Etc generate million of replies to some of their marketing campaigns. Her software helps them define the valid consumers that they are targeting. Big Business and is growing fast. Rated 6th fastest growing software company in Austin.

I can honestly say that Ad words has increased our business 100% since we have used it. This new pop up add independent of the google search, but based on the search criteria is great. If you did not catch them on the right hand column ad with ad words......later they see an ad they were just searching.....very powerful.

Your daughter is in the right area.......think of the power of the newspaper ad fifty years ago, and how utterly ineffective the same is compared to these targeted ads.

I know a bunch of ways to stop it, but it means more work for me. I guess I have really benefited from Ad words, and I had experienced the ads running down the right side of a google search. I was unaware of this powerful product, and I am going to sign up for the same. If it can help to deliver a product to a customer I have no problem, but I think my fear is that folks will start blocking my ad words campaign, and this seems like a much more difficult to kill advertising method. I do not like it on one hand, but I think I may grow to love it on the other.

Internet marketers will do anything to get your attention. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is complex and everchanging. Ads are just part of it all. Wait until you develop a website and try to get it to rank at all on Google. I am now down to just 3 websites now (all WordPress affiliate-marketing websites tied to products at Amazon.com), and I will tell you from my own experience that it is not easy to rank-well and get traffic to your sites.
