Well my FEMA trailer uses a space heater on half power and stays around 70 all night at 40 degrees outside ....y'all enjoy yer McMansion$....

My Mcmansion rarely has the heat on....only in temps in the 20's.

I have space heaters , I don't like it when it gets cold-I lost power last night for about 4 or 5 hours -something blew up and we heard it then the whole street went out .

I hqve a small thermostat heater.....if it is really cold we will use that to wrm the bedroom.

Its been in the 40s every morning here at the cabin in NC. Went thru snow flurries at 5 thousand feet on the smoky mountain parkway yesterday.

Yea, according to this, the average high in November is +9 and the average low is -7.
But in January, the average high is below zero. lol

Riceme posts on the other forum every now and then. She's a very hardy person despite a rough life. Some of her stories just amaze me. I wish I could pass them on but I don't have that permission. Suffice to say her pickup truck is all the home she needs some times. She struck out for Alaska in her truck and it was very scary as it was old and had problems that could have left her in the middle of nowhere. When her phone worked she called and let me know she was alright but that was seldom. The place is still wilderness. She's with friends now and doing great...the start of a great adventure for her...

Thank god there are still some places in this country that have not been spoiled by "progress".
Just think,  the whole continent was like that only a few hundred years ago before the Europeans landed.

To see beautiful scenery on the screen, I highly recommend going to the museum on the base to see the Rocky Mountain Express on the IMAX screen.. It's about building the railroad thru the mountains in Canada..
