Dammit.  I found the recipe when we were getting ready to move from Huntsville.  I have no idea where it is now though. Crying or Very sad

I think I remember the sauce including the following ingredients but not sure and don't know the ratios

chicken broth
soy sauce
cornstarch
green onion

and I think you dip the chicken pieces into egg then flour then egg and then flour again.  but not sure.
not sure if milk is added to the egg

and then you add the cashews and lettuce pieces at the end

You know I actually found that recipe earlier myself.
But I'm not remembering the HofC recipe having bell peppers and onions in it are you? All I remember for vegetables is scallions.

House of Chong adds lettuce pieces to it after the gravy is cooked and added to the chicken. I think that's part of what gives it their distinctive flavor.

I know...I remember cooking it with the lettuce and didn't care for it....perhaps a lettuce other than iceberg would be better.

Laughing Laughing Laughing This is too funny. I'm googling to see if there is a recipe online for Pensacola House of Chong Cashew Chicken. A link to this thread between Joani and Bob came up.

Made me smile.

And I'm going to make an attempt at HoC Cashew Chicken.

Y'all have a good weekend.
