Not to mention "savings" by cutting coverage for spouse. I still wonder how a 5k deductible equals access to healthcare.

Most of those policies are being cut because they don't meet the new health care laws regulations of adequate coverage.

I read the article.  The point is: Obama said, repeatedly, that if you like your insurance, you can keep it.

Obama's not cancelling their insurance. The companies are so let's blame it on him for the umteenth time.

Obama led people to believe that if they have insurance that they're happy with, nothing would change.

Are you saying that Obamacare is not the reason for people being dropped from plans?

odumbass made the law that caused this.

No worries though, these people can either buy a more expensive plan or get a subsidy from the tax payers for their new and improved plan that covers things they never wanted. yeah.....

Things that were compensation as benefits to employees are now "savings" for corps... that will be out of pocket the same.

who wins again? Wasn't this a cost saving measure rammed through during an economic downturn? Bad ideas fail.

Must be too many people on site, "Would not load" Everyone who purchased a health policy after 3/23/2010 most likely will get cancelled but most will be told they can migrate to a policy health care compliant plan. A plan written before that date most company's are keeping them and no cancellations because they are grandfathered.

Pkr I bet over the years I have around 300 clients on a $5000 + deductible of their choosing. HSA compatible plans were always high deductible's even under Bush. That's just me other agents have several clients with high deductible's and several always specialized in them. So no difference there.

People are being dropped from plans because they had insufficient coverage, one and two, insurers are dropping the unhealthy ones as an excuse and keeping the healthy ones. This is Obama's fault?

HE said you could keep your insurance. Remember? If you can afford only an insufficient plan by gov standards, but can still eat and pay rent, isn't that a good thing? Why purchase something you won't necessarily use? It's like the medical costs on motorcycle insurance, I don't need the coverage because I already have health insurance, so why buy it and have my rates too high I cannot afford it?

Yes, read the article boards of FL.

Here is a quote from the article.

"Kris Malean, 56, lives outside Seattle, and has a health policy that costs $390 a month with a $2,500 deductible and a $10,000 in potential out-of-pocket costs for such things as doctor visits, drug costs or hospital care.

As a replacement, Regence BlueShield is offering her a plan for $79 more a month with a deductible twice as large as what she pays now, but which limits her potential out-of-pocket costs to $6,250 a year, including the deductible."

This means a 20% increase in her premium along with DOUBLING her previous deductible of $2,500 to a deductible of $5,000. Her out of pocket is limited to $6,250. a year instead of $10,000.00.

DID President Barack Hussein Obama NOT say if you liked your doctor and coverage you could keep them AND save $2,500 per year?

ObamaCare is President Obama's fault.
