Face it -- we were lied to about the fictional "Tonkin Gulf Incident" which Johnson fabricated to get congress to go along with his plans to invade Vietnam. We were lied to about Iraq. Maybe it was Assad, or maybe it was one of the radical Jihadist rebel groups who used nerve gas in Syria. Reagan lied to us by selling weapons to Iran in exchange for our embassy hostages.
So, is Iran really working on developing nuclear weapons, or not? Clearly, Iran has no love for Israel or the U.S. And it's political influence over a completely dysfunctional Iraq, as well as Hezbollah, and other Islamic terrorist organizations can't be matched. For years we've been told by warmongers like McCain and Lindsay Graham that we need to bomb and invade Iran before they get THE BOMB.
And Obama and his administration has echoed their warnings.
Oddly, the CIA and NSA both have concluded that there is no substantial evidence that Iran is actively working on developing nuclear weapons. but keep in mind, these are the same "security" experts who lied to us that Saddam WAS working on building a bomb.
So who are we to believe?
Welcome to the real world: If Iran gets a bomb and gives it to al Qaida, there's no doubt some of us will be vaporized. Keep in mind also, that another Islamic state that hates our guts -- Pakistan -- has A-bombs. Yet neither McCain nor Graham, nor Obama even mention the need to bomb or invade that country of brown people.
Iran is much larger and better equipped than Iraq was. If the U.S. attacks Iran, some of us will get killed during the event, or in the long, bloody and expensive war that follows.
One thing for sure: Exxon won't suffer, and neither will Northrup Grumman, Boeing, General Dynamics, etc.
And so it goes. Reality!
