Jamie Dimon sits on the New York Fed, effectively regulating himself. Sign the petition for Dimon to step down.

As explained in the HuffPo, there is a little more to the derivatives fiasco than major idiocy:
“Fun as it may be to beat up on the arrogant Jamie Dimon for the $2 billion-plus derivatives fiasco at JP Morgan Chase, this is like blaming the lion that ate the kid who got too close to its cage at the zoo, rather than going after the guy who allowed such an unsafe cage to be built.
That guy is named Barack Obama. He had assistance from a pair of key advisors, Tim Geithner and Larry Summers, whose ample experience should have enabled them to recognize the dangers of allowing Wall Street to keep trading derivatives free of regulation.”

Derivatives were a problem a long time before Obama. Escambia County lost millions many years ago. Wasn't that in the 1990's?

Thats what the article said however, it goes on to state the two dudes Obama picked were in a position long before to sound the alert and did not. They also ignored warning signs after 2009 and have really done nothing to fix the system.

True, but previous administrations did nothing either. It's not all Obama's fault.

I understand that there are Republicans that want to blame Obama, and it's a free country, so they can do that.

I seriously doubt the author of the HuffPo article used in this thread (Peter S. Goodman) could be called anything but a Democrat. He is however, a very experienced newsie when it comes to economics and he threw some serious rocks at Obama.

I'm a Democrat, but I'm not happy with Obama either. Maybe it's because I am middle of the road or something, but I didn't like it in the past when people were blaming "W" for everything either.
