Slaughter, Louisiana. The kid had just finished playing Grand Theft Auto IV on his Sony Playstation. I guess he wanted to see what it was like to kill somebody for real.

He won't be charged because in Louisiana, children under 10 years old are exempt from criminal responsibility.

Guns should be kept out of reach of kids. Guns don't kill people, careless people do. That and bullets.

I understand that the grandmother might have had the gun in the house to protect herself and the kids. But it should have been put away in a place inaccessible to the kids.

I agree. Also, isn't Grand Theft Auto violent? I don't think an 8 year old should be playing this kind of game.
