Military Medical makes DRASTIC cuts in personel and services !

For the Army, which has the largest medical system within the military, all but 6,600 of its 44,000 civilian medical workers are being furloughed.

"The impact on morale is huge," says Thomas, adding that some caregivers have quit, lured to the Department of Veterans Affairs for jobs. "VA is parked right outside our installations and they're poaching our players."

Maybe this is Obamas way of dealing with budgets...I HAVE NOTICED HIS FAMILY AND DOG ARE STILL VACATIONING AND EATING WELL !

It's been very difficult for the military. Some people don't realize how much DOD civilians work side by side with our military in some areas. But...the furloughs have now been shortened, so maybe it will be better soon. That is, until next fiscal year, when there is supposed to be a new budget. Then we're looking at big problems again.
