I think Newt Gingrich as president would have had the courage to make real change which would have helped all Americans. My opinions about Newt were those of a man walking a lonely path. He is simply too old and is surrounded by certified crazies. He was a student of Machavellian technique, but he had the skill set to have made a real difference.......bipartisan support will require an intelligent conservative to change this self destructive culture which is rife with racism, and gives no voice to legitimate structural problems of dependency.

I highly doubt anything would've happened much differently if gingrich had become potus... perhaps a few difference in where borrowed dollars went or which social program and govt departments were expanded. But the direction of the federal govt and the domestic controls and the federal reserve and the mic... will remain on course.

I am. I am sincere about Newt and have taken crap from everybody. I think he was largely responsible with fighting Clinton on the surface, but together they created surplus and real economic growth. Newt still understands it is about the middle class.....he plays the crazies, and plays the Democrats.....but in the end the man is brilliant political mind who understands what is good for america.

During WWII, the Japanese were gathered up, robbed of their property and put in relocation camps until the wars end. They were freed after the war. Doesn't it seem THEY would be far more bitter and angry than blacks? Why do they do so much better in school and in their average income and standard of living?

Absolutely, no one alive today knows or remembers anyone who was a slave or slave owner. For all I know, my ancestors could have been either. The internment happened in modern history. Again, try hard now and answer the simple questions. Who does better in schools, income, strong family unit and criminal records?

Bullshit on your statement about no-one remembers a slave. If a black lady is 80, she was born is 1933. Her grandparents were old enough to be slaves. So your dumb math that meant nothing is wrong. Just because it happened a long time ago does not diminish the importance. What you choose to ignore is the discrimination that happened in the south up until the civil rights act of 1964. Blacks were still not allowed to vote is some parts of the south as recently as the 60s. But, what happened to the Japanese in the four year internment is just as bad as what happened to blacks for 200+ years in your demented, atrophied old brain.
