Blame Bush41 for the tanks. He sold M1-tanks to Egypt in 1992.

Blame Regan for selling F-16s to Egypt--they first got them in the mid-1980s.

Predictable....

Let's continue the thought:

$1.7 billion to provide Egypt with with 24 advanced F-16 fighter aircraft, one of the largest arms-transfer agreements concluded with a developing nation in 2009, according to the Congressional Research Service.

Deals announced in 2010 include a potential sale of six Ch-47 Chinook helicopters and associated parts, a deal worth up to $308 million, and support and repair of Egypt's frigates, which has a $210 million price tag.

The United States has refined a very careful strategic use of assets in foreign military. We identify rising stars, and we use our aid and training to influence foreign military. You have to be familiar with history to understand that since 1956 and during Nasar's years, the Soviets had a great deal of influence in the Egyptian military. It was a great strategic coup after the 1973 middle east war where the United States made great inroads in the Egyptian Military. The military is the force to control in Egypt. As a collective strategy over the last 40 years.......the US has made wise investments, and in fact these latest activities show the wisdom of 40 years of smart policy. To blame Bush or Obama requires an incredible naive outlook on historical geopolitical strategies engaged by our country.

What PaceDog and NoChain really want is for the U.S. to abrogate our responsibilities to Egypt that were negotiated under the so-called 1979 Camp David Accords, while keeping the aid promised to Israel intact.

Israel already has a near blank-check with the U.S. Congress, and PaceDog is certain that God will smite America if Congress ever rolls-back the subsidy.
Question

Question

What you want is to post something that makes sense. Sorry but you aren't there yet. If you would carefully review my little post you might notice I didn't even express an opinion of arms sales to Egypt, just added a few sales that you, in your typically partisan manner, chose to omit. Because you are an uninformed hypocrite of the first order. That said, Egypt is an ally for a good reason - the Suez Canal.

A very very important strategic point.
