ANYONE BEEN TO VEGAS?

I'm getting an all expenses paid trip to Vegas and will be there for a few months. Anything to do aside from gamble?

Though this does not belong in Politics, I have been to Vegas several times. There is a lot more to Vegas than gambling. There are various shows galore. If you are going to be there for 2 months, you could almost take in a different show each night and not see the same one twice.

It's been years since I've been there. I could see where it would be a fun place to stay for a couple of months. On the news today: 106 degrees in Vegas!

Rent a boat on lake Mead at the marina
take the Hoover dam tour
I think there still is a fishery north of the dam and marina where they will let you tour
check out the trade conventions which are in town
golf
concerts
boxing
but most important.....poker....it is not entirely gambling....it is skill.

Each Casino has a theme......ride a roller coaster....take a boat trip.etc....or if you still appreciates a healthy young lady check out the nude beach at Mandalay Bay, or just enjoy their great pool area
I have seen some great concerts....some came as a total surprise....Crosby Stills........Franti.....Mayer.....great comedy in the day....red buttons, rowan and martin.....magicians......each hotel usually has a house show which is reasonable.....I am not much of a show person, but do enjoy the concerts.
People watching is the most fun....walk the strip
if you are in town in early july.....go watch some of the world series of poker.

Nude beach?

It is a sectioned off area adjacent to the big pool where folks lay around the pool mostly just topless. They have many of the wave machines and create an artificial beach area in main pool are.....I never went in and sat because the wife thought old men starring at younger girls was totally inappropriate, but I did get a glance.....just people being free. Vegas is fun at any age, but you have to be careful on the gambling....I hit a royal flush on a game called ultimate texas hold em, and won over 6k which made for a great week where we were driving to Phoenix...where I won another 2k..however, I have got whacked before.....and when you get on the plane after a bad weekend.....you question your sanity going to vegas......it is not like you can win table games....a lucky squirrel getting an acorn once in awhile.....unless you play poker, you cannot win regularly.

Hoover Dam....Red Rocks area...Laughlin (Colorado River)...and there are alot of free shows along the strip...
