I've noticed some tags on area buildings and such, so I tried to research the various symbols and who they represent etc. It was quite frustrating.

If there is a comprehensive guide to those unreadable spray-painted gang tags, it plumb evades this redneck. Our local yokels didn't even have info on them. As much as they keep stressing their (gangs) presence in the community, one would think the LEO agencies would be a little more proactive and get the info out there to inform the citizens who could be affected.

Pathetic.

There should be intense coverage of this issue by the media... shining a bright light on them is the cure.

I used to yell this on the pnj forum and submitted many letters (none printed). I think it falls into a politically correct aversion... much as an objective analysis of gun violence does. People are afraid to point their finger at the real problem... and instead push pc policies.

Whatever the reason, they have completely dropped the ball on this issue. Hell, it's not just here...try googling this and see what comes up. There ain't no damned guide for identifying those tags.

Remember the "You are beautiful" graffiti? I liked that one. Also the "olive juice" was interesting. If I was more daring mine would be "ratsalad"

Yep....but that's not what I'm researching here. I'm talking turf tags....the kind that can cause a conflict when another gang tags over it.

This may or may not be of much value (no clue)...

But when you scroll down to the last set of images, this is what wiki says about it...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juggalo

I never heard of it before.

I found some of those sites (sorta helpful) but nothing indexed to our sleepy little drinking village that has a huge fishing problem.

Thanx though....I did read several of those you found. I failed to include decipher in my googling....duh.

Back on November 2010 on another forum I posted my sons comments. At the time he had just visited us here. His remarks to me while driving around Pensacola, "why is there so much national/international gang activity here?" It was his job to study gang membership and activity. I posted everything related to his visit on the other forum.

At the time he carried the Gold Army Intel Badge and a 9mm Glock. Now he is enjoying his 3rd tour of the Middle East. He was supposed to be home in September, things have changed. My wife is flying over to Belgium for 6 weeks to help my family handle their current events.

The Army/Obama make decisions and it costs me a few thousand dollars. I am running a tab, though.
