Watcher a commercial for the State of New York...applauding the fact that they've created business breaks and tax cuts which has the state turning around in bringing businesses and businesses expanding whch is helping the state...They are creating jobs...This is a democrat governor and yet he seems to be in complete disagreement with the federal government...Now understand that the city of New York and their city taxes etc., but if these ideas are working for NY then why is there such opposition on the Federal level?....

Most ultra-liberals don't pay taxes, they are part of the UNEARNED entitlement crowd. As such this thread would be meaningless to those hypocrites.

Most red states don't pay net income tax and instead receive net payments from the federal government. Most blue states pay net taxes to the federal government.

Most ultra-conservatives don't pay their allotted portion; they are part of the hide the assets and offshore account and fight to avoid taxes at all cost way over the line of ENTITLEMENT, crowd. As such this thread is a massive rationalization for those hypocrites.

Why don't Republicans admit they are just as beholden to BIG GOVERNMENT, if not moreso, than Democrats are?

I will go as far to say that most Republicans would choose deficits over cuts in spending to any of the portions sof BIG GOVERNMENT that they love.

Mother Jones Math talking point. The state level is much more difficult to assess for federal tax benefit data for reasons I'm sure you already know rather than individuals as I was addressing. And you probably overlooked (conveniently) that I stated "UNEARNED" entitlements.

"moreso, than Democrats are"....Now that's funny don't care who you are!...Everytime there are talks the cowh/democrats stipulate no negotiations period with no tax hikes...Read an article that republicans were pushing forth a bill that would allow that the cowh would be alowed to make changes of where the cuts would hit into other areas in order to prioritize where these sequester cuts would hit...very close to a line item veto power...If passed the cowh said he would VETO....guess he doesn't want to make the decisions out in the open where to inflict pain...

Since you don't even have a reference for your claim, and you have a typo in your opening statement that makes your question unintelligible, plus you obviously don't know a thing about the advertising business...what exactly IS your question?

Tax breaks and other incentives may or may not produce a net gain to the community. Sometimes, the business recoups the incentives and moves on, leaving the municipality or the state with a net loss. Some "businesses" pollute; some are straight up scams. A much better approach would be start-up capital for new businesses originating within the area, and one major way to accomplish that is for the public to invest locally, with local banking institutions and credit unions. Small businesses...real ones, not those that classify themselves that way but are in truth megacorporations...are the backbone of this country's economy. And every state needs its own state bank, modeled after the Bank of North Dakota.

Problem is that there are no Democrats on this forum.

The STATE of New York might be working to attract businesses but Mayor Bloomberg and New York CITY are still driving away their tax payers.

The commericials run on a regular basis about New York....Didn't know that a typo would invalidate a thread....Can't help if you've never seen the commercial...

The STATE of New York might be working to attract businesses but Mayor Bloomberg and New York CITY are still driving away their tax payers.

What are the factors which make a business relocate? They want to profit. Government incentives are counter productive as states compete with each other giving more and more away. A mayor and a governor can have balanced budgets, good roads, good bridges, good schools, good transportation, and low crime with an excellent quality of life. These factors have little to do with the politicians giving away the store......the last 20 years has seen some very good changes in the quality of life in NY city, and those are much more important than incentives.
