Earths atmosphere must be collapsing...why else would meteors be coming so close ?

I have heard that's how the dinosaurs died..the atmosphere collapsed and because they were too tall they suffocated...It is recommended that all basketball players dig a hole in their back yards to stand in that will make them 5'2" relatively speaking. maybe it could be a trench in case you have to use the bathroom....hunkering down or crawling might work . Watch out for monkeys and maybe cats as they will be passing out and falling out of trees...Jets will be flying very low. On the positive side rain will only get your feet wet...

Maybe the government isn't telling us something...

TEO, here's away to become wealthy beyond your wildest imagination.
Trenches would work but it would be impractical to have them all over hell's half acre.
First get some kind of promotion going to all people to do this:
Cut a section of garden hose long enough to reach to your knees, no longer, then plug your nostrils with gadgets that swimmers use because you want to only breathe through the hose from air that is a foot or so above the ground. You don't want it dragging the ground because you risk inhaling fire ants or other disgusting bottom feeders that lurk at ground level, what could be worse than the inhalation of a lawyer or a politician? Next you invest every bit of money you can beg, borrow or steal in an American Garden hose manufacturer.Don't use Chinese hose it kinks and could stop the flow of air.
There are 300 million Americans, imagine the market for garden hose.
Your profits would be astronomical.
