France’s Esther Duflo, a world renowned economist, has been nominated by U.S. President Barack Obama to join a government body dedicated to advising the administration on global development policy.

Called the Global Development Council, the group was founded by Obama in 2010 to help shape US development efforts abroad.

Here is another example of the forum members introducing topics I'd not seen elsewhere. It seems like a good idea to have people on an advisory council who have experience with the topic at hand. It seems she's been working out of MIT and has been involved in studying global poverty.

I hope she is able to make a constructive contribution to the work of this group. Maybe she and the other members will come up with some good plans to help alleviate poverty. Here's a link to an article about her work.

So from your article she basically says poor people are stupid and they need rich smart people to make decisions for them.

and you see no efforts at a global new world order modeled after europe form this?

and no one is going to argue, oh its nation building?

and no one is going to argue oh its empire building?

and no one is going to argue this is not redistribution?

Obama is just adding more socialists to the YES MAN (err Woman) pool surrounding him. Oh, by the way, have you ever been to any of the Muslim slums around Marseille, France or elsewhere??? I guess the French are doing so good that the younger part of that population rioted and burned larger parts of many cities in France due to their economic problems.

Here's some evidence to back my asseration:
