The Repukes seem incapable of accepting reality and cutting their losses.
But it doesn't ultimately matter whether they get rolled in December or January.
They lost the argument when they lost the elections.

The GOP may be in disarray but not so much so as to allow this to happen.

Even this "cliff" doesn't even come close to balancing the budget... much less paying down the debt... it's more like a curb.

Two TRILLION dollars should be plenty to run the govt... try to imagine that number... it's idiocy that it's not enough.

LOL... the sad part is that the above is about the case. This "logic" has to be seen through ideologic lenses to support.

I think the "cliff" will be averted and celebrated as having saved us just like obama's stimulus... gawd we're dumb.

So out of curiosity I decided to look up the US population by year and federal government spending by year in order to get an idea as to how spending per-capita has changed over time.

when I saw that with the first offer they wanted unlimited power to raise the debt ceiling whenever they wanted and not have to go threw congress. I know right then, we will go over.

now they will just toss a few rediulus bills at eah other all knowing were going over.

bubkle your seat belts and save your pennies and stock up, were in for a long hard bumpy road.
