This week, Mitt Romney unveiled a surprise for Wisconsinites at a rally in West Allis: the endorsement of the greatest living Green Bay Packer, a man legendary not only for his three MVP awards, but known far and wide for his genuine humility, Bart Starr.

After Starr put on glasses to read short excerpts from Vince Lombardi Jr.’s book, “What it Takes To Be #1: Vince Lombardi on Leadership,” he described Romney as a leader of “integrity and excellence’ adding, “We’ll be electing a truly, truly special gentleman.”

If Bart Starr calls you a gentleman, you’d better believe it’s true.

Bart Starr was the Alabama quarterback I first saw play there.

He was also the quarterback of arguably the best team that ever took the field in the old NFL. Or maybe any field ever.

The only other team of that caliber were the Dolphins with their impossible undefeated season.

But that lone does not make one a judge of politics any more than Sean Penn being the best actor in Hollywood for over 20 years does.

But hey I like Bart Starr...but he shoulda supported Ron. A much better choice IMHO

Smile
