The idiocy of this thread and others on this subject is the lack of understanding that this was a CIA operation. Most of any hearings will require that initially they be done in closed session. However, security has already been partially compromised as folks rush to try to get political advantage over this attack. The silly bottom line is that we conquered a nation with loss of less than 10 Americans and pennies on the dollar spent, and now with this absolute success is attempting to be characterized as some type of failure. The only folks who want this to be a failure are Al Queda, the millitary industrial complex and Israel. All three have an interest in America entering wars which kill our children, waste our treasury, and take us down the least intelligent path. The Ambassador and the CIA operations in Libya have been a huge success. Period.

We deserve better than that as did those Seals.

How about a blantant attempt to politicize a tragedy to sway the election? This is a much more likely scenario than anything coming from the rabid right.
I didn't know about Romney and Netanyahu's old association at the Boston Consulting Group back in the mid-70's. Romney apparently made much of it when he visited Israel on his fund-raising tour, but Bibi denied they were bff's and instead called it a business relationship. Bibi either wanted to keep it quiet or thinks Romney's an idiot for bringing it up at all, or...he doesn't like Romney but prefers him in the WH over Obama, who is not warming to the Israeli agenda in the Middle East.
I wonder...what Ambassador Stevens was doing in a CIA safe house in Bengazi instead of being at the embassy in Tripoli...whether he was set up by the CIA...why there was such a strong CIA presence in that location...
What I don't wonder about is the timing of this incident or the shameless attempts by Republicans to turn it into an indictment of Obama's foreign policy. That's pretty transparent.

That's all this is, but it's not surprising.
They've been fervently hoping for a terrorist attack since Obama took office.
The modern conservative movement in the United States is the most unpatriotic and treasonous movement this country has seen in many years.

You are exactly right! They no more care about the American people than Al-Quada does. They deliberately slowed this economy and let people suffer to destroy a President they hate got elected. They are unamerican.

Idiocy of this thread? The real idiocy is the people like you are hellbent on Obama getting a second term for personal reasons that do not help the country. You're hellbent on hiding the truth because this is the stake that actually KILLS the vampire sucking the country dry on his socialistic agenda. Your boy is going down. The best thing that can happen is for him to lose because, like Nixon, this will catch up to him and he will either have to resign or be impeached. You don't purposely leave your appointed ambassador hanging and not answer for it. Obama really just needs to lose and lose large.

Two thumbs up to that statement. Thanks to them blocking everything in congress that would have helped the economy and acting a fool over the debt ceiling vote which resulted in messing up our credit rating it is a wonder we are still adding jobs and growing the economy even slowly.salinsky wrote:Floridatexan wrote:the shameless attempts by Republicans to turn it into an indictment of Obama's foreign policy
