“Newsweek plans to end its print publication after 80 years and will shift to an all-digital format aimed at online users starting in early 2013. Job cuts are expected. Newsweek's last U.S. print edition will be its Dec. 31 issue.”

I say, Amen and Amen.... This is what is going to eventually happen to the Pensacola News Journal and all other newspapers, too.

I currently subscribe to the Oil and Gas Journal--digital edition. I also subscribe to Aviation Week magazine, but I read the digital edition from my PC before the paper edition comes to my mailbox, and give the unread paper magazine to my grandson. I no longer even touch the PNJ print edition and read the local news online.

I use Amazon's Kindle for PC software to read eBooks, and eschew paper books. I hate ALL paper files and convert documents I want to save to .pdf documents so I can save them electronically. I simply do not want anything I have to stuff in a file cabinet.

Newsweek is simply succumbing to the reality of the times......

Preachers of the future will be waving their BiblePads at their congregations as they threaten them with Hell and Damnation since bibles will no longer be printed.
