A jury in the military gives only one year to a military man who had beaten his wife, and had shaken his step son causing brain injury. I guess the military for all the talk about modernizing still does not put much weight on military men beating their wife and child. He confessed what he did and only got a year and was discharged. Yet, a civilian in East Milton with 30 years of non violent history gets accused of shaken baby, and with no admission or any direct proof a civilian jury finds her guilty and the judge gives her life in prison.

So what did this veteran do after he was out of the military which he volunteered to join, he does animal cruelty and then kills innocents in a church. Where is the justice? Why consistently do military folks get a pass for their behavior whether it is beating a child, beating a dog, or bombing innocent civilians. The simple truth is that militarization draws sick people into the military. It is not like this man was drafted, or had the threat of draft.......he volunteered.

Oh with our Navy unable to steer ships, we now learn that the Air Force failed by law to inform the FBI of military personnel who are pouring into our society and are a risk.......folks who should never have weapons only need to be a veteran to get a pass. Enough.

If you want a better, more professional military, the solution is simple: Raise the standards and raise the pay and benefits until they are high enough to attract good applicants. DUH!

Now, go ahead, start with your fallacious bullshit about the deficit and the national debt and let me blow that nonsense out of the water.

You seem pretty familiar with this case, were you her lawyer?

So the military man shook his stepson and got a year?

Did he shake the baby hard enough to injure his tiny brain, causing tremendous damage and traumatic rupture of both retinas....resulting in permanent blindness, and caused massive hemorrhage inside of the skull....so much damage that the brain, once the skull plate was removed, forcefully shot out brain tissue and blood from his skull...so much damage that the child didn't have a chance in hell of surviving.

Your friend was the only adult present. The damage was immediate.

Now the militaty guy....did he cause just a skull fracture without shaken baby syndrome of brain damage?

one year, with a jury of military peers, and those same peers did not even enter this dangerous person into the federal database because if they dig deeper will probably find thirty years of GOB.

A woman who never had one criminal record, was an officer in the East Milton volunteer fire department helping people her entire career, and without one admission or any direct evidence that she ever shook or touched a child was convicted and sentenced to life in prison......

Yea, I see a real problem with that discrepancy in justice.  Military gets a pass, and a poor person gets ran up the flag pole.  It happens in America every day as we give huge subsidy to corporate and individual government teat suckers, but a couple who worked their asz off in civilian life but never really got beyond living from one pay check to the next gets bull dozed because they cannot afford above average legal representation.  Non violent poor people fill up our jails as a system built to cannablize them turns their societal head for rich people and military.......we have the best congress that money can buy, and you can bet that nothing will change in America in regard to the growing mass shootings.

Nope. If a poor person in East Milton went over and tackled and broke a neighbors ribs they would be eaten up by criminal justice system while a rich ex military rich doctor in KY does the same thing, he will never see a day in jail. Sorry, poor people in America do not get justice. The courts and the criminal justice system is set up to protect the wealthy in America and in this case ex military, but if we talk about poor and black or brown........now we get the truth.

My friend is in jail because she was poor.

Your friend took a life.

Without wealth to get experts, she never had a chance to get to the truth. If my brother's wife had been accused of what she did, she never would have seen a day in jail because they could have afforded the best expert testimony that money could buy.......not a restricted and limited state budget. Poor people fill up the Escambia and Santa Rosa jails and the system is set up to keep those folks in their proper place. A poor 17 year old hits a 12 year old walking to school and thought she hit a mailbox. An accident, but she got a 15 year sentence. Justice? People have accidents when they are driving at 16 and 17, yet if Daddy was rich.....she never would have seen a day in jail.

Holding a poor person with a bail set so high that they could try to coerce a confession.......no confession.......no real experts.......no top notch defense team......just another poor person being thrown under the bus.

Her phone calls were recorded. She told her husband to get their oassports....was she going to run from what she did?

That is laughable.....a poor person from East Milton becoming an international fugitive.......who feeds this nonsense to justify a lynching. Where was an admission.........none. The Church killer admitted his violence to the child. Because he did it. No admission and the railroading of a poor person because of allegations that the child's family was connected to the criminal justice system. Sorry, she was lynched as a poor person.
