Trump has had a long-standing crush on Putin.  Trump has a "thing" for any man he sees as strong and powerful.  They really get his nose open and he acts like their toadie.  He thinks hanging around tough guys will make him seem tough, too.

Oddly, Putin has the same weird fetish.  He keeps a biker gang (hilariously called "The Night Wolves" - maybe it sounds less third-grader lame in Russian) as his pals.

Anyway, Trump's been kissing up to Putin for years now.  Kinda pathetic. He's been all but rubbing his face on Vladimir's shoes.  That's why Putin monkeyed with the election... he had use for such a pitifully needy suck-up, even if he had contempt for him.
