This is a charity(Rasberry Pi) that has developed a small computer. the entrie project is very interesting, if you like to tinker and hack around. I am going to order one pretty soon.

I just bought an assemble yourself kit at radio shack that allows your computer to control external switches and such,,,this may work well with that and not tie up a full size unit with all the unneeded hardware.

Alecto has several Raspberry Pi units I think.

Here's a unit that can control lights via wifi.

I got the Gulf Power installation for my hot water heater and thermostat. I was amazed at the size of the switch on the hot water heater... it's big. I took some pictures of it, but I cannot find them... duh!

Anyway, here's what the thermostat control looks like from the internet.
