This was a very nice young man. I have fond memories of playing him in tournaments. A very good player... He was in his early twenties and I was in my late thirties when we first began playing each other. He was always very fair... even though we had some absolute wars on the court... then drank beers after... lol. A beautiful family too... I feel a hole inside today.

Sorry....too many lives lost on that curve.

Yep... I'm very surprised that he wasn't. He was a very organized and sensible person. I knew him from the time that he was fifteen or sixteen when he began playing the open division. My sister and bil were in a terrible rollover accident almost 16 years ago. She was in a belt laying down tho in the backseat because she wasn't feeling well... and is now a paraplegic. My bil didn't have a belt on and was ejected... he suffered a tbi. He's greatly diminished... but is still kicking and enjoys the family and new grandkids. He was a custom builder... but now just tinkers in his shop making simple things. Life can change in an instant... I try to enjoy each thing. I'll see him this weekend when everyone is coming up to the lake. I'm really excited... working on 50 things at once right now trying to get boats all set and guesthouse ready... etc. I'll put all of the kids to work as they begin to arrive tomorrow... lol. I keep thinking of Scott and his family tho... I'll try to treasure this even more than usual.

Thanks... I'm nearly all prepared. I bought a huge brisket today that I'll probably smoke Saturday. Can't wait. I'm leaving in an hour to play a poker tournament at turtle creek casino... it starts at 7pm est. I hope i can play patiently... i find that to be an issue lately. Shuffle up and deal..!!
