Actually, my understanding is that these bots are just computer code designed to look for specific terms and phrases and rebroadcasting what they find thousands of times on various social media platforms to make it appear as those fake news items are trending.

Markle is not as smart as a bot.

I saw this on 60 minutes last night and your understanding is correct.

I was reading a little bit of usmessageboard last night and saw a markle post, if he was paid to post here he certainly isn't there, under a person's name it says "Paid Poster".

All this outrage over Russian interference in our election kills me. The US has been doing this crap and worse, much worse, as far back as I can remember. In the fifties we overthrew Arbenz in Guatemala and Mossedeq in Iran. Then it was the overthrow of Prime Minister Papandreou in Greece in the sixties when we created "The Regime of the Colonels". In the seventies it was Chile, does the name Allende ring a bell? In the eighties we turned our attention to Central America--Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras, remember them? And the Russians used bots? Big whoop.

Tho we have interfered all over the world... I don't want any chance of the same. So investigate... turn over all of the rocks... then do the same concerning the Clinton slushfund and shady shit around the world. Oh... and use the nsa to retrieve her emails and throw in the irs emails and Obama's gun running to Mexican cartel documents and the complete benghazi timeline with orders too.

Nope.....Z man caught him posting on all the Florida newspapers when their forums were open with the same spam.......canned stories generated from somewhere which always had ties to a fascist agenda........I do not have absolute proof that Oswald shot Kennedy, but the circumstantial evidence is certain.

This forum has always been very small. The members, ALL from the old PNJ, is comprised of local posters. Not a large venue for a paid poster. Wake up...the PDF still consists of local posters and their socks.

A cybersecurity expert testified that Russian “bots” pushed their disinformation campaigns during times when President Donald Trump was likely to be on social media — and he dutifully hyped those conspiracy theories.

Clint Watts, a former FBI agent and counterterrorism instructor at West Point, explained Thursday that Trump as a presidential candidate helped Russia take active measures to interfere with the election, whether he realized it or not.

“Part of the reason active measures have worked in this election is because the commander-in-chief has used active measures at times against his opponents,” Watts testified.

Watts, a fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute and George Washington University, told the Senate Intelligence Committee that Trump and his campaign’s use of Russian active measures happened in plain sight — even if most Americans were unaware at the time.

He testified that Paul Manafort, then Trump’s campaign chairman, promoted a bogus story Aug. 14 about a terrorist attack on a NATO base in Turkey, which originated on the Russian propaganda websites RT and Sputnik.

This was some very impressive testimony re Trump and the Russians. The question again is: "Why was 45 and Manafort even watching basically foreign news, Russian propaganda?" Why such an interest and attention to all things Russian? That piece of the puzzle has never been adequately explained to anyone by the WH.

Putin's objectives of undermining our faith in our democratic institutions has succeeded. People are questioning legitimate news sources, reality is being challenged and 45 is leading the charge like a total puppet of Putin. 45 is even managing to cause further fractures in the GOP. I saw a news flash today that he asked/told NBC news to stop covering the Russia/45 story. Give me a break, the press is our best hope for uncovering the connections between 45 and Putin. I'm surprised 45 doesn't have a summer WH in Russia somewhere.
