My brother was getting in a tizzy about police brutality. He was freaking out and showing me videos like this... and telling me it was a trend.

But the truth and underlying issue is...

Police are following arbitrary rules. Government is arbitrary.

That should scare people a lot more than a number of incidents of violence.

This has to be one of the dumbest posts I've ever seen on this forum. Of course the rules are arbitrary. Of course, government is arbitrary.

All human associations, institutions, groups and rules are arbitrary. DUH! What's new, sparky?

You have a wonderful grasp of the obvious--perfectly typical of almost every conservative twink I've ever encountered.

When I first read this, I thought "Oh boy, some middle-school kid just found out about forums. This is gonna be fun. His daddy watches Fox and he's gonna try out some of that crap on real grown-ups."

Well, here's a something from Fox you might have missed, sonny:

 http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/04/14/89-cases-involving-georgia-cops-fired-for-punching-stomping-black-driver-are-dropped.html

The problem is not that the rules are arbitrary, you moron, it's that cops don't follow them and then they lie about it. The so-called "good cops" are complicit in this because they won't out them--they are accomplices and equally guilty.  Ergo, there is no such thing as a "good" cop. They are all part of this outrageously corrupt system.

The sad thing is, we don't pay cops enough and we don't train them well. We have nutjobs like the notorious Dr. Lewinsky training them to shoot first and question the corpse. Cops in this country are a disgrace, it's like a third-world country. No other civilized Western nation has the problems with police brutality that we do.

Well...   maybe France, but their food's so good they get a pass on this.
