Medical Marijuana cards now being issued

Michigan passed it in 2008. The feds, state,  and cities STILL are busting dispensaries,  caregivers,  and even patients.  Once the govt has ceded itself an authority... it's nearly impossible to roll it back.

I see on my FB page Michigan is the next state to legalize recreational, true?

I know had a nephew busted up around where you live last year, he had a card. But I have a niece down south that has never had a problem. Guess it depends which county up there.

I think recreational would pass... if it's allowed on the ballot. The northern counties are actually more lax overall. In grand Rapids they busted every dispensary in December... every single one. The state and fed were involved too... the feds confiscated the patient rolls. GR actually legalized small amounts by vote... but the authorities don't give a damn.

Illinois medical pot is a joke. They treat folks like criminals, and if you are not going to die in six months, you have to get fingerprinted and spend about a thousand dollars to get approved. If your doctor signs the six month terminal patient they waive about 90% of the fees and NO fingerprinting. I gave the six month application to my doctors office, and they said they could not sign even though the bone mets in the spine, because people MAY live up to two years......I said I would not be fingerprinted for medicine and will try again after the surgeries to better get an idea of they will sign the six month. I do not take my Norco prescription unless I cannot bear the pain, but that is at most once a month now. I took none in my recent visit and only took Ibupropen twice in the morning.......just worked myself into near shock.......laid six pallets of sod.....get home.....shower........eat something in my lazy boy, and fall asleep waking up feeling like I was run over by a car at about 4-5 in the morning......and do it again. I will rest this week with the surgery, and back at it in early March. I look forward to a prescription when I cannot sleep at night. I think opiates speed cancer patients to a quicker death.....no data......just a feeling that the damn things are no good for you.

I haven't smoked marijuana since the 80's, but if I wanted to I would just do it.

I didn't care about the law then, don't care about it now. Wink

I have to build some more roads and we are still clearing, but two years ago this area was a jungle. I line the clay roads with sod to stop erosion, and will eventually try to find a grass seed which works well under live oak trees. I will be back down in March and will show some panoramic views of wetlands and bayous. The property and the project of cleaning it up will be one of two memorials I leave. I will not have a headstone or a grave site......the family will spread me around, but the joy of working on this and seeing the results has been very gratifying. I will be doing three hundred feet of seawall and will be contacting local equipment folks to see if I can locate a vibratory hydraulic attachment for an excavator so I can bury about fifty poles to support the vinyl seawall. I am bringing down two of our 5k pound block floats so I can build a work platform where I can square up the poles when the hydraulic vibratory compactor pushes the pole into the canal, while my wife will be on the work platform with two 3/4 inch 20 foot water lines which you insert at the base of the poles as the vibratory compactor pushes the poles down to the level of your seawall. I have built one seawall and dock after Ivan, and I did a terrible job. I hope I can work smarter this time.

We are having really good luck with this new type of Zoysia. You might want to look into it. There are several companies that care this sod.

Well this isn't going to go well for the republican's who voted for Trump that are also very much for legalization. I do believe the congress better get their butts in gear and reclassify.

I can't stand that both parties have authoritarian issues. I wish we the people had a legitimate third choice.

I would like to have decriminalization of Pot......home use, and small amounts being exempt from fines which would be in the nature of tickets. However, I do not want kids using alcohol or pot until they are adults. I understand kids will push the limits....we all did it, but I want punishment for large amounts being dealt and minors using the same. Not jail time, but probation with drug testing.

I agree somewhat... but I don't want kids getting their lives ruined over aggressive policing of pot either.

The point is State Rights. The dems did nothing except turn a blind eye and although one of the pubs have introduced a bi-partisan bill that will probably go no where because they can talk a game of state rights but when it boils down to it they want to run your life's.

Don't know where Spicer got his facts but a study was just completed that said mj can help break the opioid addiction, not the other way around.
