Elections have budget consequences Trump wants to kill agencies

To put this in context: The total cost, per American, of the following 17 programs said to be on the chopping block is $22.36 - of which more than a third comes from a single clean-energy program. By contrast, housing subsidies, like the mortgage interest deduction, which are disproportionately used by the wealthy, cost $296.29 per American.

Kill the mortgage deduction for anybody making over 250k, it is obscene the priorities we have established for special interests. Yet, killing PBS is a priority for President Trump. We define a President by their priorities. Shameful.

Big Bird is a budget priority, while exporting war and killing innocent civilians as we spend five trillion dollars gets ignored.

This may surprise you but in my opinion, not shared by my Association, kill the mortgage deduction in steps say over three years. I don't believe Canada has a mortgage interest deduction and they have the same or higher home ownership as we do here in the U.S..
