Well, this is very encouraging I must say. Now more people will understand what's going on.

George Orwell's tale of a sad, grim future, the book 1984, has experienced a recent resurgence, climbing to the top of Amazon.com's bestseller list of books.

The book, written in 1949, required reading for many in high school and college, was No. 1 on the list on Wednesday morning.

It's in such demand that publisher Penguin has ordered a 75,000-book reprint, CNN reported.

"That is a substantial reprint and larger than our typical reprint for '1984,'" a Penguin spokesman told CNN. Nielsen BookScan, CNN reported, said the book sold 47,000 copies since President Donald Trump's Nov. 8 election, which is up from last year.

WOW!! 75,000! We have more people than that for any FSU football game right here in the little ol' Southern town of Tallahassee.

In comparison, have you seen what's happened to the stock market since Donald Trump won the election? All paper money from the failed Obama administration and the Fed's desperate effort to keep the economy afloat.

Didn't almost all the financial prognosticators, leading with Paul Krugman, forecasting a collapse of the market?

This is the Socialist economist Progressives worship.

NY Times's Paul Krugman, As Trump Wins: Markets Will 'Never' Recover
By Tom Blumer | November 10, 2016
| 11:41 PM EST

Wednesday morning at 12:42 a.m., as it was becoming clear that Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump was on the verge of officially defeating Democrat Hillary Clinton for the presidency, Paul Krugman at the New York Times noted at the paper's election night live blog that the "markets are plunging. "He then wrote: "If the question is when markets will recover, a first-pass answer is never."

Orwell was brilliant and his writings are timeless and applicable to current events.

Yes he brings out mind control, double speak, alternate facts, sound familiar? The power of words is not to be underestimated. As I have pointed out many times before if decisions are made on the basis of faulty data then the decisions are also faulty. If this current administration continues to attempt to create its own reality there are going to be a lot of poor decisions made.

Like Obama had the military assessments and intel scrubed to match his ideological policies?

Please give an example of where the military scrubbed an assessment. See how easy it is to not use alternative facts and meet the Orwellian standard.....just make up stuff, and knowing you just made it up......thereafter believing the same to be the truth. Orwell was brilliant and his message is timeless.

You're slipping my old friend.  They didn't have this over at the HuffingtonPost.  How about 50 instead of just one?

‘CANCER WITHIN’
Exclusive: 50 Spies Say ISIS Intelligence Was Cooked
It’s being called a ‘revolt’ by intelligence pros who are paid to give their honest assessment of the ISIS war—but are instead seeing their reports turned into happy talk.

More than 50 intelligence analysts working out of the U.S. military’s Central Command have formally complained that their reports on ISIS and al Qaeda’s branch in Syria were being inappropriately altered by senior officials, The Daily Beast has learned.

The complaints spurred the Pentagon’s inspector general to open an investigation into the alleged manipulation of intelligence. The fact that so many people complained suggests there are deep-rooted, systemic problems in how the U.S. military command charged with the war against the self-proclaimed Islamic State assesses intelligence.

“The cancer was within the senior level of the intelligence command,” one defense official said.
