Whitehouse Tries to Explain Trump Comment on Iraqi Oil

President Trump says we should have kept Iraq’s oil for ourselves after we invaded the country in 2003. He unequivocally stated in today’s briefing “To the victor goes the spoils.”

He even hinted that we might go back and get it. James Mattis is not going to last long as Trump’s defense secretary. He has already come out to say pillaging Iraq’s oil is wrong and he will not support such a position.

Wrong again. It just goes part and parcel with you does it not?

You are accustomed and believe that all advisors and appointees of the president MUST, MUST walk in lockstep with his beliefs or they are out.

The wise Winston Churchill once said, and it is worth repeating is that: "If two people agree on everything, one of them is unnecessary".

In previous talks with General Mattis, President Trump said that Mattis had given him a different perspective on waterboarding and Trump had changed his mind.

Donald Trump would not have been even a fraction as successful as he has been if he only surrounded himself with sycophants as what was done by former President Obama.
