Trump is a phony and Hillary is the Goddess of marrying big government to big business. Reality.

"marrying big government to big business"

There's your fascism... load it up with growing authoritarianism to force unfair and unpopular policies and programs... and Hillary's impulse to use the military... and this county goes whichever way the ruling and monied elite says it goes. It doesn't matter what she says... it doesn't matter what she does... and if sure as hell doesn't matter what you want. We the people have NO say in the matter. Congratulations comrades... you may yet live to see the fruit of progressivism. If not quite yet... certainly your kids and grandkids will.

Thousands of California soldiers forced to repay enlistment bonuses a decade after going to war

Short of troops to fight in Iraq and Afghanistan a decade ago, the California National Guard enticed thousands of soldiers with bonuses of $15,000 or more to reenlist and go to war.

Now the Pentagon is demanding the money back.

Nearly 10,000 soldiers, many of whom served multiple combat tours, have been ordered to repay large enlistment bonuses — and slapped with interest charges, wage garnishments and tax liens if they refuse — after audits revealed widespread overpayments by the California Guard at the height of the wars last decade.

Investigations have determined that lack of oversight allowed for widespread fraud and mismanagement by California Guard officials under pressure to meet enlistment targets.

But soldiers say the military is reneging on 10-year-old agreements and imposing severe financial hardship on veterans whose only mistake was to accept bonuses offered when the Pentagon needed to fill the ranks.

where in hell do you get the idea that marrying big business to big government (fascism) is a Progressive theme? There's nothing progressive about Hillary Clinton! If you want to understand true progressives, look at Bernie and his followers.

Sorry folks you sound like the citizen who shows up at our local government and thinks all of us who have volunteered our time for three years are idiots and that person has an easy answer. Government is a grind. There is good and there is better, but there sure is awful and ineffective. Hillary and Donald Trump are not the same. Hillary will grind it out and will be competent. Donald Trump is the very leader which destroys Democracy which Souter warned. I find this discussion that these candidates are equivalent just bone chilling stupid. Souter warned when the public becomes so ignorant that democracy cannot survive, they look for that strong centralized leader with all the answers......history has never failed in this regard.....it takes the type of ignorance displayed in this thread to accomplish the same.

I think you're correct. Beyond campaign rhetoric... in application and practice she's further right.
