You don't have a right to carry a gun as a felon. The cops knew he was a felon. They knew he should not have a gun. Something that you fellows seem to have forgotten

Duh.........Pace is knocking on the door......ok, I will type this very slowly. The only question for the use of deadly force was it reasonable to use that force to protect a member of the public or an officer. Pot.......not relevant in the analysis. Possession of a Gun in North Carolina is not the test question for use of deadly force. A felon in possession of a gun is not the test question for use of deadly force. Did this man pose an imminent threat to the officer or a member of the public to justify the use of deadly force.......knock on my door when you want to discuss relevant evidence in the citizen's death.

When a felon possesses a weapon, what do you think he intends to do with it? Nuf said. You are so naïve. He does not have the same rights as a law abiding citizen. When he refuses to comply he puts himself at risk. When he decides to make a go for a gun, he signs his death warrant. The cops deserve to go home to their families every night. He gave them no choice. It was non-negotiable once he went for the gun.

A great deal of random and irrelevant trips to nowhere.......the shooting will not be found to have been justified by the fact that there was pot, the fact that he was a felon in possession of a gun, rather was there an imminent threat to the officer which justified the use of deadly force, and was that determination reasonable by objective standards.

Going for a gun, by the perp, is justified on the part of the police to use deadly force . BTW, when was your last formal training in the use of deadly force? You are wrong as usual when it comes to use of deadly force. Just like when you commented on ferguson.
